This exciting new role has just been introduced to the National Timber Group HR Department structure. Based at one of the NYTimber sites in either Northallerton or Brompton on Swale in North Yorkshire. The successful candidate will be a skilled HR Administrator with demonstrable experience of providing full administrative support to an HR function. A self-motivated, organised individual, with excellent, attention to detail and communication skills. We are particularly interested in candidates with experience of working with the KRONOS WORKFORCE READY HR Management System, however, we would be interested in receiving applications from individuals with extensive experience of implementing and/or working with similar systems.

Duties will include:

  • Cradle to grave HR Administration provision
  • Building, implementing and maintaining new HR management system
  • Preparing reports for managers
  • Preparing job offers and contracts
  • Maintenance of all Personnel Records
  • Management of recruitment and selection processes
  • Maintaining training records
  • Management and reporting of key HR KPI’s and information e.g. labour turnover, absence figures, headcount, holidays etc.
  • Join team introducing, maintaining, and providing information from Kronos HR Management System, Dynamic Learning Management System and Reward Gateway Employee Benefits and Recognition System
  • Undertake project work as required e.g. introduction of new HR/T&A system
  • Collaborating with HR Administrator Colleague
  • Providing support and information to Payroll department
  • Meeting note taking

Hours, pay and benefits:

  • Full time, permanent position with an immediate start
  • 40 hours per week Monday – Friday
  • Flexible start and finish times
  • Starting salary £20,000 to £23,000 (reviewed after probation)

Experts in timber since 1979, NYTimber, part of the National Timber Group are looking to recruit Skilled Joiners/ Skilled Timber Fabricators to join the Production and Distribution site in Brompton-on-Swale.

The successful candidate will be an enthusiastic, flexible and a reliable team player with good literacy and numeracy skills. Joinery knowledge and ability to read fabrication drawings is essential and site training will be given.

Duties will include:

  • Manufacturing high end, fully finished timber frames
  • Working to exact tolerances

Working hours:

39 hours per week, Mon-Thurs 8.00am to 4.30pm, Fri 8.00am to 3.30pm, competitive basic hourly rate + all agreed hours worked over 39 paid at overtime rates.

or

37.5 hours per week Mon - Fri 6.00am - 2.00pm/ 2.00pm - 10.00pm rotating (16.5% shift allowance payable)

Experts in timber since 1979, NYTimber, part of the National Timber Group are looking to recruit Wood machinists to join the Production and Distribution site in Brompton-on-Swale.

The successful candidate will be an enthusiastic, flexible and punctual team player with good literacy and numeracy skills. Experience of Wallsaw, Resaw and CNC Crosscut would be advantageous (3 years preferred)

Duties will include:

  • Assisting in the assembly of timber components to order requirements
  • Use of equipment, machinery and plant (after training)
  • Completion of basic standard paperwork

Working hours:

39 hours per week, Mon-Thurs 8.00am to 4.30pm, Fri 8.00am to 3.30pm, competitive basic hourly rate + all agreed hours worked over 39 paid at overtime rates. 37.5 hours per week

or

Mon-Fri either 6.00am to 2.00pm or 2.00pm to 10.00pm, competitive hourly rate + percentage shift allowance paid for all basic 37.5 hours. Agreed hours over 37.5 paid at overtime rates.

  • Overtime paid at 1.5 time during week over basic hours and Saturdays or double time for Sundays and Bank Holidays
  • Shift allowance paid at 16.5% extra for all basic 37.5 hours worked 6.00-2.00 or 2.00-10.00
