The successful candidate will be an enthusiastic, flexible and reliable team player, and an experienced HGV Class 1 driver.

Duties will include:

  • Delivery of NYT roof system - cassettes and spandrel panels
  • Delivering to customers across the region

Working hours and pay:

  • Monday to Friday working

Experts in timber since 1979, NYTimber are looking to recruit Truss Operatives to join their production site in Brompton-on-Swale.

The successful candidate will be an enthusiastic, flexible and a reliable team player with good literacy and numeracy skills. Current technical and engineering experience within the EWP Production industry, or knowledge and expertise of truss manufacture, is advantageous but not essential as training will be given.

Duties will include:

  • Assisting in the assembly of timber components to order requirements
  • Completion of basic standard paperwork

Working hours and benefits:

39 hours per week, Mon-Thurs 8.00am to 4.30pm, Fri 8.00am to 3.30pm, competitive basic hourly rate + all agreed hours worked over 39 paid at overtime rates.

OR

37.5 hours per week Mon-Fri either 6.00am to 2.00pm or 2.00pm to 10.00pm, competitive hourly rate + percentage shift allowance paid for all basic 37.5 hours. Agreed hours over 37.5 paid at overtime rates.

Experts in Timber since 1979, NYTimber are looking to recruit a Purchase Ledger Administrator to join their busy Accounts Department based at Head Office in Northallerton.

The successful candidate will be a reliable and flexible team player, possess excellent attention to detail and be computer literate with a confident telephone manner. A secondary school education is essential, achieving at least GCSE Grade C in English and Maths and holder of or working towards an AAT qualification or equivalent is highly desirable. We are particularly interested in hearing from applicants who have previous experience of working in Purchase Ledger.

Duties will include:

  • Timely and accurate input of data
  • Checking, coding and inputting of purchase invoices
  • Assisting with Nominal Ledger
  • Preparing and submitting weekly BACS payments
  • Accurate monthly supplier statement reconciliation

Duties will include:

  • Promoting new products and supporting promotions and special offers
  • Achieving call targets (including cold calls) weekly
  • Pro-active selling, following up leads and enquiries promptly and efficiently
  • Responding to needs of the Branch and Sales Team

Experts in timber since 1979, North Yorkshire Timber are looking to recruit a part-time Payroll Officer to join their busy Finance Department at Head Office on Thurston Road in Northallerton, North Yorkshire.

The successful candidate will be an enthusiastic team player with excellent communication skills an ability to manage confidential information and records, a methodical thinker and problem solver with high attention to detail and the ability to remain calm during peak times. An excellent working knowledge of Sage 50 Payroll Software and experience of processing payroll for both hourly paid and salaried employees is essential, along with knowledge of legal compliance relating to Payroll processing.

Duties will include:

  • Processing weekly payroll for payment each Thursday inc. basic hours, overtime, shift allowances from consolidation of time and attendance reports
  • Processing starters
  • Processing statutory payments e.g. sickness, maternity, paternity etc.
  • Responding to queries
  • Processing leavers
  • Processing BACS payments
  • Processing monthly returns
  • Processing court order deductions
  • Posting payroll journals

Reporting directly to the Management Accountant you will also work with the HR Department to ensure all payments are processed in line with contractual and legal employment terms and conditions.

Duties will include:

  • Assisting the mill machinist in all aspects of mill work
  • Stacking timber
  • Moving from one area of the mill to another
  • Keeping machine area clean and tidy

Working hours and pay, either:

39 hours per week, Mon-Thurs 8.00am to 4.30pm, Fri 8.00am to 3.30pm, competitive basic hourly rate + all agreed hours worked over 39 paid at overtime rates.
