NYTimber has backed Northallerton-based racing driver, Ethan Hammerton for success in the Renault Junior Championship and will support the youngster's running costs.
16-year-old Ethan, who was previously named Rookie of the Year in the Junior Saloon Car Championship, will test his skills against some of the brightest young drivers in the country, as he completes for a place on the senior circuit.
The season, which compromises of eight races, will take him to Brands Hatch, Snetterton, and Pembrey, where each competitor will use identical versions of the UK Clio Cup race car.
Nick Kershaw, managing director at NYTimber, said: "Ethan is clearly a very talented and ambitious young man, and it’s great to see him challenging for a place alongside senior competitors, even though he’s only 16."
