It's beginning to look alot like Christmas in Richmond

Staff at NYTimber in Richmond became Santa’s helpers for the day when they volunteered to deliver the town’s huge Christmas tree.

Using its articulated lorry, which is equipped with a HIAB crane, the team collected the seven metre tree from the Aske Estate and delivered it to the market square, where it will take pride of place for the festive period.

The tree will be decorated by the Richmond Round Table, before the official Christmas display switch on by the town’s mayor at 7pm on Friday 1st December.

Mark Baker, Branch Manager at NYTimber, said: “We take great pride in being a local business that’s active in our community and have been delivering the Richmond Town Christmas tree for the past three years.

"It's a very impressive Christmas tree, perhaps the largest we’ve had to date, and is going to look fantastic at the centre of Richmond’s Christmas decorations."

Established in 1979, NYTimber is one of the largest independent timber importers and merchants in the North East and Yorkshire. It supplies oak flooring and doors, fencing and decking, constructional timber, roof trusses, sheet materials, cladding and many more timber products.
